Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
It starts with a patient waiting. Austin’s first concern has always been patient care, and as an entrepreneur with an MBA he saw the opportunity in something the three founders kept returning to over dinner: the delay in reaching the right clinician was costing patients, and it could be fixed. He turned that into a company and has run it ever since — taking the daily friction of on-call scheduling and after-hours coverage and making it one secure platform trusted by hospitals and practices. His focus never changes: get the right clinician to the right patient, without delay.
Co-Founder & Board Member
Dr. Merle had lived that delay. A board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon, he knew what it looks like when a team has to be assembled in an emergency — who has to be reached, in what order, and how much time is lost while somebody works out who is on call tonight. He brought the clinical thinking the whole system is built on.
Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Ezzeddine built the answer to it: the secure messaging and on-call platform hospitals and practices rely on today. He works closest to the product: how a message finds the right clinician, how the live schedule drives delivery, and how every message is documented.
VP of Marketing & Sales
Marcia leads marketing and outreach at MatchMD, building the relationships and referral network that connect independent practices, hospitals, and specialists. She’s often the friendly first point of contact for organizations exploring MatchMD — focused on helping care teams see how much simpler communication can be.
Chief of Staff
Sally keeps the company running behind the scenes. The accounts, filings, renewals and vendor relationships that keep a thirty-year-old company in good standing are hers, and she is the person Austin relies on to make sure nothing is missed. If something at MatchMD had a deadline attached to it, Sally is usually the reason it was met.
VP of Answering Services
Xiomara directs the answering service, the round-the-clock operation behind every after-hours call a MatchMD practice receives. She manages the operators, sets the standards they work to and the way calls are handled, and keeps the service covered at every hour of the day. When a practice’s coverage has to hold overnight, it holds because of the team she runs.
